Joshua Johnson is a senior manager with The Chartis Group.  He has over 16 years of demonstrated leadership in healthcare Information Technology (IT) initiatives, and more than 19 years of overall IT experience. Joshua’s span of experience within healthcare IT is rooted in formal systems administration and technical roles, progressing to senior IT leadership positions at an organizational enterprise level. His expertise includes system selection, procurement, implementation and project oversight, IT strategic planning, enterprise-wide IT solutions, and IT operational management.

Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Joshua served as Assistant Vice Chancellor and Associate CIO, Clinical Enterprise Systems at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Josh earned his Master of Business Administration from the University of Arkansas and his Bachelor of Science, Liberal Studies, from Eastern Oregon University.

Nathan Ray
Chief Technology Officer
Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care

Mr. Ray is the Chief Technology Officer at Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care (AFMC). Previously, he served as the Director of HITArkansas at AFMC, the Regional Extension Center (REC) for Health Information Technology in the state of Arkansas. He has leveraged his knowledge of data and Health IT trends to collaborate with stakeholders involved with health system transformation initiatives, including the state health information exchange (HIE), Million Hearts, Comprehensive Primary Care Initiatives and the Medicare Shared Savings Program/Account Care Organization initiative. His interests in data-drive program improvement and his contributions to the Salesforce Change Advisory Board have been nationally recognized by the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC). Mr. Ray holds a Master of Business Administration from Harding University and was selected as Arkansas Business “20 In Their 20s” in 2014, highlighting his contributions to the state and public health throughout his roles at AFMC.

Mr. Johnson has served on the AR HIMSS Board since 2009 in various positions, including programs and sponsorship roles. He is a proven leader with an extensive background in consulting and sales. He was elected President in August 2014.

Angela Adams

Ms. Adams has over 18 years of Healthcare IT experience, including system analyst, security, and Meditech software. She currently holds a position as HIT Regulations Coordinator/MU as White River Health Systems. She has earne her BS degree in Computer science from Arkansas State University and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Health Informatics from Arkansas Tech University.  She joined the AR HIMSS’ board in the summer of 2014.  She enjoys volunteering for community service projects that include community dinners, clothes, food drives, and activities for children.


Amanda Davis

Ms. Davis has been employed at Baptist Health in Little Rock, AR since 2004 in the Information Systems department. Currently, her role is “Epic Revenue Cycle Principal Trainer.” She is certified in Epic Resolute Hospital Billing and Cadence within the Epic applications.  She has previously served in roles as Network Analyst, Sr. System Administrator, Programmer, and Desktop Support. Ms. Davis has a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems from Delta State University and a Master of Arts in Information Technology Management from Webster University.

Cinnamon Matthews

Cinnamon Mathews is the IT Director of the EMR Services and Patient Systems Departments at UAMS. She actively partners with executives, fellow directors and staff to implement and sustain healthcare system solutions in support of the UAMS mission and vision. Cinnamon has over 28 years of experience in the healthcare industry, spanning both the information technology and financial realms. She has leveraged her experience and education to provide expertise in the following areas: staff development and management; IT systems implementation and support; project and program management; process analysis & optimization.

Cinnamon holds a BS degree in Organizational Management from John Brown University, and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas – Little Rock. She maintains active memberships in the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Project Management Institute (PMI) as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), CHIME as a Certified Healthcare CIO (CHCIO-E), and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.

Ray Chanslor

Ray Chanslor is the IT Director of the Clinical Information Systems Department at UAMS.  He is responsible for over 50 systems that support the health and well-being of patients as well as UAMS’ core mission. Ray has over 9 years of experience in the healthcare industry and over 25 years’ experience in the development and support of IT systems, IT staff, and customer facing applications.   He provides leadership and mentoring to over 35 staff members as well as sitting on various Governance Boards.

Ray Chanslor holds a BS degree in Finance from the University of Central Arkansas   He maintains active memberships in the Health Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), Project Management Institute (PMI) as a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), and is a GIR Institute Fellow.

Rod Smith

Rod Smith is the Vice President Information Services Operations for Arkansas Children’s. Smith has been a member of the organization for over 30 years and his name is synonymous with Arkansas Children’s Hospital IT and quality. He is a native of Little Rock, Arkansas and has always had a thirst for technology. Smith received his Bachelors in Business Administration, Management Information Systems and Master of Science, Management Information Systems from the University of Little Rock, Arkansas.

Smith is a member of the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS),   College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME), and University of Arkansas Little Rock Management of Information Systems Advisory Board.

Lori McCauley

Lori McCauley Director of Unified Communications/Telecommunications

AR Children’s Hospital

Lori McCauley brings more than two decades of UC and telecommunications experience to her role at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, which includes Technology Management, Strategic Planning, Business Process Improvement, System Administration, and Change Management. Lori currently serves on the Connexall Customer Advisor Board and has served on customer advisory panels for companies including Avaya and Windstream. Lori was past President and Board member of the Arkansas Chapter International Avaya User Group and is a current member of the International Avaya User Group Team Engagement and Collaboration Council. Lori is passionate about volunteering and dedicating her time to several community organizations. Lori's volunteerism has earned her many awards including the Phillips 66 USA Swimming Volunteer of the Year.
